The Ministry of Development in Spain has announced an agreement by the Council of Ministers in which it authorizes the partial segregation of AENA, S.M.E., S.A., in favor of its subsidiary subsidiary of the new Murcia International Airport  (AIRM).

Partial segregation is a commercial operation that consists in that its branch of activity linked to the civil activity that is currently carried out at the Murcia-San Javier Airport is transferred to the new manager of the Murcia Region International Airport.

In this way, the workers, suppliers and tenants of the current Murcia-San Javier Airport are allowed to keep their rights and obligations in force and, when the time comes, have continuity in the new airport.

The new airport will be inaugurated when the air base ends its operations, both events initially scheduled for January 2019.
